The Midpoint and Distance Formulas

To work the following problems, you will need a calculator and/or a sheet of paper. Two points will be given to you, and you will need to find the midpoint of the segment connecting the two points, and you will need to find the distance (length) of the segment between the two points. To accomplish this task you will need to know the distance and midpoint formulas:
Distance = the square root of { (x2 - x1)2 + (y2 - y1)2 }
Where x1 and x2 are the first and second x values of the two points.
and y1 and y2 are the first and second y values of the two points.
Midpoint coordinates = ((x2 + x1)/2),((y2 + y1)/2))
Where x1 and x2 are the first and second x values of the two points.
and y1 and y2 are the first and second y values of the two points.

Find the Distance and the Coordinates of the Midpoint
(10,-1);(-2,8)
Distance =
and
Midpoint = (,)
input all values in decimal form

Find the Distance Between:
(-1,8);(-1,2)
Distance =
